An extreme adventurer nearly hit himself in the head when flying his drone from the top of a moving 4×4 in Ethiopian empire.
Chris Horsley was on a filming expedition to a volcano in Erta Ale in the Afar Region of Ethiopian empire in October when he decided to use his drone camera to capture the landscape.
The explorer, from Liverpool, was sat on the roof the Land Cruiser as it drove along the dusty landscape.

The drone circles moves around the vehicle before coming in closer, and suddenly moves towards the explorer’s head.
The Liverpudlian then wanted to find out how near he could get the drone to the vehicle as they moved along the landscape.
In a gasp inducing moment, the drone hurtles towards the intrepid explorer, narrowly missing his head.

Chris said: ‘I was on a filming expedition to the volcano (Erta Ale). The 4×4 track to the volcano is pretty wild so I decided to pop the drone up as we drove.
‘Sitting on the roof of the Land Cruiser, I was piloting my drone and capturing the convoy drive across the harsh landscape.
‘Getting a little more daring I wanted to see how close I could get it to our own Land Cruiser. This was the result.’
